Yes , I did buy a multimeter but the damn thing only worked showing battery condition. Switched to ohms for resistance testing --- absolutely nowt happpened

Had conversations with 2 or 3 people and the theory seemed to be that the analogue cheapy I bought wasn't sensitive enough or it was bust

Today Andy Bailey came to see me and brought various handy bits of ' kit ' plus a digital multimeter ---------- BINGO

works a treat so finished the wiring after we watched F1 --------- Cheers Andy . Just the 9 pin plug to get soldered onto 3 wires from the ECU then fix it somewhere so the laptop can get plugged in to check it all out before attempting to start it.
Before that I'm still waiting for an airbox to arrive plus the fuel lines aren't joined up yet (10mm down to 8 or is it 6

I'll have to measure it -- can't think why fuel rails /pumps/filtersaren't fitted with 10mm fittings

)
Still sorting exhaust/tyres but did get the air duct 4 inch pipe plus BMC filter ready for the airbox.
Last minute thought grabbed me last week that I hadn't tried fitting the linkage I have -------- definately wouldn't fit

Phone Dunnell pannicking to buy his for speed , only to be told the manifold/Throttle Bodies need machining to accept his linkage

So I took the whole lot off the engine and posted them up to him on Friday. I was not ammused and did wonder why he didn't say something re -- linkage when collecting my engine . Would have made ' sales ' sense
