After my last sprint I found the caliper brackets loose PLUS the front wheel bearings , not with any play , but very notchy so have been trying to get them locally. FORD just don't have them listed any more and I didn't fancy the after market ones for the track BUT none of the ' factors ' had them anyway.
MNRacing at Harrogate have a racing background and seemed nice people when I spoke to them regarding SSC. I have a RACELEDA front end complete with hubs which are Cortina geometry and THEY bought RACELEDA from Bruce Irving. RACELEDA did ESCORT/CORTINA/SIERRA & GRANADA/SCORPIO uprights & hubs SO I needed someone who understood all these variations.
Yesterday I sent a cheque for the correct bearings & seals to MNRacing ----------- today at 12-00a.m. they arrived :D Brilliant service and I don't even have one of their cars 8)
My point being that if you're stumped , MNRacing just might be able to help.

Do you know what make the bearings are? are they much stronger than the stock ones or just proven by them?

They're just stock items . Just a matter of fitting carefully with plenty of grease but not too tight --- so easy to over tighten
